Dave Steele, Senior Marketing Representative – 26 Years of Service to Union Mutual

“My journey in the insurance industry started in 1997, when I began working for a National Independent Adjustment Firm. However, after five years, I felt a strong desire to explore other opportunities and expand my skill set. It was then that I had the opportunity to meet Jack McLaughlin, who was the President and CEO of Union Mutual at the time. Shortly after meeting Jack, he offered me a position in Marketing for the State of Maine. To think that I almost did not take the job!  25 years later, I am still alive and kicking in the Marketing Department.

However, my greatest achievements are my two children, Ben and Megan. Ben is a senior at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York, where he is majoring in finance and competes on the college’s hockey team in the UCHC Conference. He has already accepted a position with Danone North America, in White Plains, and will be entering their employee development program focused on finance and accounting. Megan is a senior at Emmanuel College, majoring in Chemistry and is the captain of her lacrosse team. She is currently applying to Grad School. I am always there to support them and attend their games, watching them proudly as they excel in their own pursuits.”
